School is back in full swing and you may already be feeling overwhelmed. As a mother, I know how hard it can be to stay on track when you’re taking care of yourself and your little one. I thought it would be best to dedicate this post to some tips to be more efficient throughout your child’s school term.
Start your day earlier:
There are countless studies on the benefits to waking up earlier but long story short, YOU’LL FEEL BETTER! There are fewer things to distract you early in the morning, which for practical purposes, helps increase productivity. There’s also more time for you to accomplish tasks if you rise earlier. You’ll end up doing more and feeling good while you do it.
Meditation:
This is a habit you’ll have to develop, but the benefits are definitely worth it. Now, don’t get me wrong, it won’t be the easiest at first! Sitting still and training yourself to focus can be a challenge, but eventually, it will seem as easy as drinking water. It helps with the organization of the mind as well as time management which will come in handy as you tackle your children and daily life.
Setting aside clothes from beforehand:
If your child/children go to school with uniforms, this makes this a little easier – try ironing all the uniforms over the weekend. However, if the dress code is a bit looser, try to find some combinations from the weekend. Allow some room for flexibility, for example, switching from one shirt to another, but have some frames of reference, to begin with, just to make it easier, you know?
Creating a simple, quick application makeup routine:
For this, there may be some products you rely on for quick looks; tinted moisturizer, blush, mascara, or gloss may be some of those things. All these can work to give the illusion that you had the full 8 hours of rest even if you stayed up helping with homework the night before. When you look good, you feel good and it’s important to use little things to help bring up a simple look that you can carry throughout the day.
What are some tips you have? What’s worked best for you to get back in the school routine? Comment!
